Congratulations to SRH team rider Nathan Carvalho for his 4th place finish at the SIMA USA Surf Championships held, August 21st through the 24th in Huntington Beach.
US surf team coach Joey Buran said, “Nathan really stepped up his level of surfing for this event.” Nathan surfed in two divisions and until Friday, he won every heat he surfed. During the finals on Sunday, Nathan was one wave away from winning the contest, but lack of swell didn’t work to his advantage and he ended up settling for 4th place.
Nathan was also selected for a second year in a row to represent the Pac-Sun USA surf team.
