SRH Team Rider Jim McNeil returns from the Crusty Tour. We had a chance to catch up with him and here is what he had to say….
SRH: So Jim, word has it you’ve been pretty busy! What have you been up to?
JIM: I’ve been busy enough. I’ve been on the crusty tour and only had shows on Saturdays, so that gave me time to recoup my legs and work them out during the week, they still get pretty sore.
SRH: What parts of the world have you seen lately?
JIM: since I got back on my bike on December, I did the UK crusty tour in January for 2 weeks. I had about 3 weeks off and headed out to Australia to start up the rest of the crusty tour. We had 20 something stops and I did 18 of them.
SRH: Any funny stories from the road?
JIM: Not really, Mason, Bilko, and I are all coming off ACL surgeries….and other stuff too. A lot of us are just playing it safe and trying to stay healthy so we aren’t doing much yet on our off time.
SRH: Who have you been hanging out with on the tour?
JIM: my wife Steph, she came out for the whole thing…..keeps me out of trouble. Other wise all the boys here, for the most part we all get along.
SRH: When you’re out on tour, what do you miss back in the States?
JIM: fooooooood. And my dogs, my bed. Just riding for fun, I could go on for days. Its fun on tour, but it makes you appreciate every thing that’s home to you.
SRH: You had a nasty crash not too long ago, how you healing up? Anything long term?
JIM: I healed really quickly from this one. Had 2 of the best surgeons (one for my femur and hip and the other for my ACL) it’s only been a little over seven months and I am physically and mentally 100%. My knee and hip and knee get sore…..a couple more months and that should go away, at least I like to tell myself that.
SRH: What else do you do on tour besides ride?
JIM: Jet Ski, snowboard, off road trucks. Anything to do with motors I’m in to.
SRH: What is the oddest thing you’ve seen on tour?
JIM: the crowd in Perth. They are crazy…. tipping ramps over and just fucking shit up going nuts. That’s how every crowd should be.

JIM: Me too! Thanks for supporting me threw the good and bad times. I have had two big injuries in the last two years and along with SRH, Rockstar, Suzuki, Troy Lee, A Star, Tag, Works Connection, and Race Tech have been there for me threw thick and thin….thanks so much for you help…….seeeeya!
